Beautiful Russian handmade Downy Goat Wool Scarf in ecru – 127 x 53 cm

The history of the downy scarf is about 250 years old and was born in Russian city of Orenburg. Thickness of the down of Orenburg goats is thinner than that of the famous angora goats, from which expensive mohair is made, and the down itself is stronger than wool. This is due to the harsh climate: sharp continental, with severe frosts, it encourages goats to dress in fuzzy fur coats just to keep from freezing.
